Spiral Horizontal Drilling System
Auger Boring System
Boring method is the process of driving steel pipes between 250 mm - 1600 mm diameters with spiral horizontal drilling. With this method, all kinds of highway, highway and railway crossings are provided. Spiral drilling and discharge method and horizontal pipe driving machines are used in lines requiring casing steel pipes.
The line line is created by determining the entry and exit points and making the necessary topographic measurements and field studies along the line. Any obstacles (water, telecommunications, sewerage, electrical energy transmission networks) that may arise during shaft and tunnel excavation are checked and if necessary, the transition level is determined by making displacements.
After the excavation of the shaft in sizes suitable for the project prepared according to the machine size, pipe diameter and transition elevation to be used, the molds are set up, the reinforcements are prepared, the back concrete and the base concrete are thrown. If necessary, side curtain walls are constructed. As long as there is no danger in terms of occupational safety, curtain walls do not contribute to horizontal drilling.
The machine walking rails are lowered into the chimney with a suitable crane and placed on the base concrete. The walking rails are adjusted according to the drilling axis. The middle axis of the rail is coincident with the drilling axis.
A suitable helix is placed inside a steel pipe of 6m length and sufficient thickness (minimum 1% thickness of the diameter) (at least 12 mm wall thickness for 1200 mm pipe). The pipe is lifted safely with the help of a crane by determining the balance point with the spiral and lowered to the chimney. The connection socket of the helix is placed in the slewing slot of the machine. Fixing pin and cotter pin are attached. The pipe to be driven after the screw is connected to the machine rests on the driving buffer of the machine. The end of the pipe is driven using the machine's pushing mechanism to the starting point of the drill and the drill bit is placed at the starting point. Drilling is started.
After the spiral goes to the end, the rotational motion is stopped. The machine is pulled back to the length of the pipe and the other pipe with a spiral is lowered again. By welding, the process continues until the line is finished. In the meantime, direction and inclination checks are made by entering the pipe at certain intervals and the line is completed.
